APEX TEAM

  • Intermediate to advanced premium freeride/freestyle crossover board.
  • High performance full carbon construction.
  • Strap and boot compatible.

The Apex Team is our premium freeride/freestyle crossover board. Coming from the same roots as the Apex, the Apex Team combines the traditional construction and shape with our high-performance Carbon Fiber Torsion Flex technologies.

Not only is this board built with a full carbon construction, it also features our Carbon Nano Rod Technology – the biggest innovation in twintips since the wood-core.

The Airush Nano Rod Technology utilizes 3mm diameter carbon rods embedded through the Paulownia wood core in an arc formation. This allows the board to have amazing torsional response and strength without the need to change core thickness or

The Apex Team brings the smooth elements of a freeride board together with the more aggressive elements of a freestyle board allowing riders to push their riding level while experiencing the benefits of a lightweight, high-performance construction.

KEY FEATURES:

REFLEX CARBON CONSTRUCTION

Adding moderate stiffness and response to the freeride and freestyle crossover boards, the Reflex Carbon is Airush’s full carbon layup. The Reflex Carbon construction is built with two types of carbon working together for seamless performance offering the rider the ability to crossover between straps and boot riding.

MULTI-ZONE BIOTECH CORE

The Airush Multizone Biotech construction is a vertical Paulownia wood core sandwich. This multilayer construction creates a consistent density from the natural material. Our wood cores are renowned for their response, durability and smoothness, and are combined with a versatile combination of laminates depending on each model’s requirement, for all-round performance and durability.

CARBON NANO ROD TECHNOLOGY

The Airush Nano Rod tech utilizes 3mm diameter carbon rods embedded through the paulownia wood core in an arc formation. This allows the board to have amazing torsional response and strength without the need to change core thickness or add excessive layers of composite.

FULL CARBON TORSION CONTROL

Airush Full Carbon Torsion Control creates a unique performance advantage developed specifically for our high performance carbon boards. Traditionally carbon fiber boards are incredibly stiff causing a harsh and at times uncomfortable ride. The full Carbon torsion control features biaxial oriented high modulus carbon fiber allowing torsional flexibility while maintaining the fast responsiveness and aggressive pop everyone has come to expect and enjoy from high quality carbon fiber boards.

SUBTLE CHANNEL & VENTURI COMBO BOTTOM

Giving the board incredible directional stability, with both foot straps and bindings, the subtle channel and Venturi Combo bottom deck allow for more user-friendly performance.

INDEPENDENT FLEX TIPS

The Independent Flex Tips are oriented from the center to the tips, leaving the center of the tips and rail thin & flexible.

FREERIDE/FREESTYLE CROSSOVER ROCKER

This rocker creates the perfect performance between freestyle and hardcore freestyle. The rocker line is designed to be ridden with both footstraps and bindings to cater for all riders, whether they are pushing the limits in Big Air or more wake oriented tricks.

FMS FLEX RATING | 7.5

Airush introduced FMS rating as the first brand to quantify how much a twintip flexes. Instead of the good old “feel” test, which can be very deceptive due to the impact of the length on the overall stiffness, FMS takes into account the board’s length and deflection. A lower rating indicates a softer board more suited to freeride, while higher-rated stiffer boards are more suited to freestyle.
